“HK Cup” Table Tennis Championship

 

UKCTTA has successfully organised the “HK Cup” to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the return of sovereignty of HK to China. The event, sponsored by UK Federation of Chinese Associations, was held on 17th of June 2007 at the London Progress T.T.C in Southall, west London.

 

The Championship has attracted more than 60 players from Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, Brighton, London and other places all over the UK. Colourful lion dance was also performed by Luk Chi Fu Lion Dance Team. The event was organised by the Championship organising committee – David Fung, Javad Ameri, Perry Fung and David Man with Peter Yeung and Margo Frazer as the championship referees, and was attended by Mr Alex Murdoch, Chairman of ETTA and his wife. The opening ceremony was officiated by KT Pang, a Vice Chairman, and Tong Cheng the General Secretary of UKFCA.

 

After some fierce competition, the winners were presented with their trophies and prizes:
