The Badges Scheme Award Programme is
developed by the Hong Kong Table Tennis Association.
It is one of the many programmes
of the "HANG SENG TABLE TENNIS ACADEMY" which is supported by
the government and sponsored by the Hang Seng Bank Ltd.
The Badges Scheme Award Programme is an award programme for players of all
ages who can achieve certain skill level. There are 4 levels starting
with the Bronze Badge Silver Badge Gold Badge Diamond Badge. Successful
candidates who pass the assessment test is awarded a metal badge and a
certificate. Besides skill test, written test is included in all levels
(except Bronze Badge). A handbook/manual (in Chinese) is provided which
includes:
1) The content of the skill tests
2) History and development of table tennis
3) Major International Competitions
4) Simple knowledge and basic skill
5) Types of competitions, formats and rules
The Hong Kong Table Tennis Association which has the copyright, gives
permission to download the content of the skill tests.
